Our Procedures

Gastric Sleeve

The most commonly performed procedure worldwide. In this operation, the surgeon removes between 70 and 80% of the stomach, leaving the rest in the form of a tube or sleeve.

Cirugía Revisión

Procedure for patients who have already had previous bariatric surgery. An example of this procedure would be a gastric bypass band revision surgery.

Gastric Bypass

A procedure that involves making food go directly from the reduced stomach to the end of the intestine, activating hormones that control sugar and obesity in patients (incretins).

Balón Allurion

Método no invasivo para la pérdida de peso, donde se ingiere una cápsula con un balón que se llena en el estomago y se elimina de forma natural en 16 semanas, ayudando a reducir el apetito sin cirugías ni anestesia.

Gastric Sleeve

The most commonly performed procedure worldwide. In this operation, the surgeon removes between 70 and 80% of the stomach, leaving the rest in the form of a tube or sleeve.

How is it done?

Gastric sleeve is a procedure performed laparoscopically (small incisions) in which a cut is made on the stomach making it smaller (approximately 70-80%) also eliminating the appetite hormone "ghrelin" so that patients feel satisfied with small portions of food, achieving good weight loss and a very good quality of life.

Duration

The surgery lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Gastric Bypass

A procedure that involves making food go directly from the reduced stomach to the end of the intestine, activating hormones that control sugar and obesity in patients (incretins).

How is it done?

Gastric bypass bariatric surgery is performed under general anesthesia and laparoscopically, that is, through small incisions through the abdomen, resulting in a quick recovery. Laparoscopic procedures are minimally invasive techniques.

This surgery causes patients to eat little with a very good feeling of satiety and absorb less sugar and fat, generating good metabolic control also due to the activation of intestinal hormones (incretins).

Ideal procedure for patients with diabetes, hiatal hernia, sweet eaters, and previous surgeries such as gastric sleeve or gastric band who seek to continue controlling their obesity.

Duration

The surgery lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Bariclip

It is a new surgical method for the treatment of obesity. The idea is that this procedure can regulate appetite, food intake and absorption.

How is it done?

In the Bariclip, a clip is placed on the stomach laparoscopically, which reduces the volume of the stomach by approximately 70%. This allows us to have the effect of a gastric sleeve. However, unlike the gastric sleeve, the Bariclip is a 100% reversible method. If at any time you wish to remove the Bariclip, it is removed laparoscopically and the anatomy of the stomach returns to its normal shape.

Duration

The surgery lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Allurion Ball:

It is taken in a capsule. Once placed and inflated, it creates a feeling of satiety to help control hunger. Ideal for patients with overweight and obesity Grade I.

How is it done?

The Allurion gastric balloon is swallowed as a capsule containing a deflated balloon connected to a catheter. Once in the stomach, it is inflated with a liquid solution and the catheter is removed. The balloon remains in the stomach for 16 weeks, taking up space and helping to reduce food intake. After this period, it automatically deflates and is eliminated naturally through the digestive system, without the need for surgery or additional invasive procedures.

Duration

Approximately 15-20 minutes

Mini Bypass:

It consists of the creation of a small pouch in the stomach, which connects to a more distant section of the small intestine, thus reducing the capacity of the stomach and the absorption of nutrients.

How is it done?

Duration

Approximately 90 minutes
